How to run Wii game smoothly with my config? - Gilgha - 01-06-2011

Hello,

I have a Dell XPS M1530 laptop with a C2D T8100 @ 2.10Ghz processor and a GeForce 8600M GT 256Mb. I was wondering if I can play every Wii game smoothly on that PC? And how configure Dolphin for it?

I've already tryied by myself but I didn't get good reasults.
I have followed these two guides, http://www.dolphin-emu.org/performance.html and http://www.dolphin-emu.org/configuration-explanation.html, but even in New Super Mario Bros (a 2D game) I have to put the resolution to 800x600 to get a smooth game. Is it just my PC that's not powerful enough or have I configured something wrong? I can run Call of Duty Modern Warefare 2 (the PC version) on in very smoothly so why can't I do the same thing for Wii games?

I want to buy the Wiimote, the Nunchuk etc. but if I can't run any game they will be useless.

Thanks for your answers.

Super Mario Bros is rendered in 3D, doesn't matter for performance that the gameplay is 2D...

I don't think there's many games you can play smoothly, maybe a few ligth ones. Example Super Smash bros. Brawl with just 2 players, REAL 2D games... (e.g. Muramasa)
