SVN Build download speeds very slow - CookingUtensil - 01-02-2011
Hello, I've been poking around on the fora for a few days trying to find an answer for this little issue I'm having, and to no avail, so I figured I'd post and see what I could find out.
I've been trying to download the emulator. Thing is, when the download starts, it gets a few hundred kb in and then just STOPS. And then draaaaaaags. Like maybe 20kb in an hour. This happens for every build I try to download, even the old ones. I managed to find a direct download on another site of an older build to actually test out the emulator (works perfect, love it!), but I'd like to get the latest build (and can't find where that link was again).
Are there some other options for download? Official torrents perhaps? Has anyone else had this problem?

I have only seen one other person report this issue so far. Personally it's working fine for me but if you want to inform mamario (the site admin) about it just use this to contact him and he'll get an email: http://dolphin-emu.org/contact

I found a solution, albeit a weird one.
In firefox, after initializing the download, it will get about 1/5th of the way in, then hang. So I hit pause, then resume, and it will go nice and speedy another 1/5th of the way. Rinse and repeat till the download finishes.
I get the feeling this is the result of some throttling, either on my end or the ISPs.
