Sensor bar in Dolphin vs WiinRemote - echdareez - 01-01-2011 Hi there, My colleague mentioned yesterday that there was a Wii emu and to my surprise, indeed there was and Dolphin works even better than my real Wii Full HD? While we have to wait until July 2011 for the new HD Wii? Awesome and impressive! So, my question: I've playing with it this morning, trying to get my spare Nunchuck working. Fired up Zelda - Twilight Princess and noticed that the motion sensor wasn't working. As my sensor bar is still at a friend's place (we played on the Wii with our group on NewYear's eve), I resorted to the 2 candles trick. Again : no luck getting it to work from within Dolpin. Launched WiinRemote (2007.1.13) and here I can see that the sensor bar part is working nicely. Disabled the controller for the Gamecube portion (read somewhere that it might pose problems), changed the position of the sensor bar from top to bottom and back again : unfortunately, it seems to work in Wiinremote but not in Dolphin. Not sure if this is important but I'm using Dolphin build r6706 at the moment. Anyone might have some suggestions? Thanks for any and all help, /dimi RE: Sensor bar in Dolphin vs WiinRemote - Spielewürfel - 01-01-2011 Test rev. 6692 if it helped please post. RE: Sensor bar in Dolphin vs WiinRemote - KHRZ - 01-02-2011 Do you see any cursor at all? Is it moveable with the mouse? If everything else on your wiimote works it would be strange for the pointer not to. It could be your wiimote settings but by default they should be fine... Where did you get that Information from ? RE: Sensor bar in Dolphin vs WiinRemote - echdareez - 01-02-2011 Spielewurfel : thanks a lot for the tip! R6692 worked out nicely. Did they remove something from the latest builds or is this issue known? KHRZ : the cursor (not the Windows one but that "bullseye"/crossmark thingy was visible (with the R6706) but you couldn't move it with the wiimote. Alas, I didn't try it out with my mouse... (didn't know it was possible to emulate the motion sensor with a regular mouse if that's what you meant?) (01-02-2011, 12:43 AM)Anti-Ultimate Wrote: Where did you get that Information from ? Well, I think I saw it first on gizmodo and I somewhere read that it would be july. For the gizmodo article : http://gizmodo.com/5364077/next-generation-wii-coming-with-hd-graphics-and-new-controller-in-2011 And for the more specific date : I thought it was somewhere on ZDNet but can't find it anymore unfortunately. Sorry / I could be wrong of course with july but according to the 'webz', 2011 is the release year for the new Wii it seems. RE: Sensor bar in Dolphin vs WiinRemote - Spielewürfel - 01-02-2011 Remove wiiuse, and use our own code. Works on linux and windows. On OSX it should compile, but I don't know about functionality. Even on linux and windows I can't promise this is bug free (wiiuse certainly wasn't). Please report issues as you find them for all platforms. this is the changelock of rev6693 |
