I cant for the life of me get Dolphin to even detect my wired xbox 360 controller, i am using rev6703 and like nothing is even being picked up from it....I need to set up the wiimote so i can play Monster Hunter Tri!..Please Someone help

Select emulated wiimote as the input in the wiimote plugin. Then press configure emulated wiimote. Then select the controller on the drop down list in the top left corner, then start mapping buttons.

yes! just selec emulated wiimote and configure it!
