is my computer too weak for dolphin - Bayba Blasa - 12-31-2010
I just upgraded to a newer computer w/ a quad core cpu
from what I have been told you need a processor of 3.0 Ghz or higher regardless of the amount of cores you have, is this true?
specs are
AMD Phenon x4 9850, 2.5 Ghz, 4mb cache, 2mb of it is L3
Nvidia 7600 GS, 512 vram, 400 mhz core clock
2 gigabytes of ddr2 ram, 800 mhz
Any ideas?

My computer has a intel 4 core 2 ghz processor, and it runs dolphin prefectly. 3.0 ghz is just recommended.

Then you've been lucky with your game choices. Most games NEED a core 2/phenom II or higher running at about 2.8 GHz or higher to achieve fullspeed or close to it.
