Rev. 3190 - Quite buggy - Gryphon93 - 05-10-2009 Recently, since I downloaded revision 3190 (32bit), I've recognized at least 2 bugs. When I try to start a Wii game with DolphinIL, it doesn't seem to work. I get an "ingame" error that says: "An error has occurred. Press the Eject Button, remove the Game Disc, and turn the power off. Please read the Wii Operations Manual for more information". It has worked perfectly before, but now it doesn't. Does anyone know why? Is the DolphinIL build "unusable" again? Well, Gamecube games seem to work at least. The other problem is the OpenGL-plugin, I think. When I start up a game it looks nice, but when I come ingame the graphics start to bug now and then. I mean, suddenly everything distorts and become all messed up. The second later everything is back to normal. It keeps to happen from time to time during the time I play. What's the problem? RE: Rev. 3190 - Quite buggy - death-droid - 05-10-2009 What game were you playing when the OpenGL bug started? RE: Rev. 3190 - Quite buggy - Gryphon93 - 05-11-2009 I was playing Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquility, using ordinary Dolphin, not DolphinIL, since I can't play Wii games with DolphinIL at the moment. (As I mentioned in the first post) RE: Rev. 3190 - Quite buggy - Experiment T - 05-11-2009 i've found a similar problem in several GC games. in Paper Mario: TTYD Nearly all the textures are corrupted from mario and his partners to the book at the title of the game and backgrounds. even text is impossible to read. in SSBM several characters have the same problems. I've tested this from R3159 to R3190 and has the same results. the textures were perfect in 3158 so perhaps recent changes has effected the same type of texture? RE: Rev. 3190 - Quite buggy - Gryphon93 - 05-11-2009 Yeah, maybe. Well, the problem probably occured when someone updated the OpenGL-plugin. It would be nice if it could be fixed. RE: Rev. 3190 - Quite buggy - CacoFFF - 05-11-2009 Thinking about it, is forcing textures into DXT1 format necessary? There are more critical optimizations to do IMO RE: Rev. 3190 - Quite buggy - cmccmc - 05-11-2009 Not necessary but would increase speed significantly if there successful to do it correctly RE: Rev. 3190 - Quite buggy - KHRZ - 05-13-2009 Cool, speed increase, *drools*. I've noticed that certain stages in SSBB, I'm not completely sure as I switch revision from time to time, but in Port Town Aero Dive I have like 10 more FPS than I had when Brawl first started to work, while most stages have not improved that much in speed... so I thought, could it possibly be because I swapped the textures with some that are simpler? |
