Yea that's good specs, I would prefer 2.6 quad over 2.8 dual, dolphin doesn't support the extra 2 cores but it will help with your pc performance

The AMD Athlon II X4 620 is a quadcore.

I can give you some options :-
1. You WILL Have to wait till your budget grows....I will have to wait till december...D:
2. Go get some parts, like GPU second hand, I myself will get one second hand...:p
3. Go for AMD and ATI...Intel and nVIDIA will burn through your already empty pocket...

I have 2 days left to buy a new PC and I saw some friend of mine (who has AMD 5000 Dual-Core) running Brawl at full speed! WTF!
Maybe you people underestimate the powers of CPU's and because Fraps lags on YouTube, it seems you need a very new CPU in order to perform at full speed... I don't think that's true? Even my dad's Pentium 4 with score 300 ran Brawl at 35% speed... So maybe I don't even need Quad-Core? What do you think?

You should forget about Passmark! It's absolutely crap! If you think that an old Athlon X2 is ok for you than get one! ... I would prefer a Core2Duo or i5.

I need Admin89 to make a brawl/ twilight princess vid for me, without fraps or recording software... or give me screenshots of speeds to see what E5300 is capable of...

All you need is Nvidia 9800Gt,even my Pentium D can fullspeed SMBB with it
Twilight Princess ? No,you need corei5 atleast ,even corei7 have 4 FPS in hyrule field

12 FPS here in hyrule (100% completed story)...

Okay people, thanks all for the tremendous help, I think I have made the right decision:

CPU: AMD Phenom Triple Core 8250 1,9 GHZx3
RAM: 2 GB DDR2 667 MHZ
GPU: ATI HD4650 1GB

(Mobo=FoxConn)

I am conviced this'll run Brawl at full speed (without Fraps )
And Twilight Princess at 85% speed.
Hmm... But E5300 is 2.6x2... ah well

that phenom isn't very good. an e5300 would be faster for dolphin. a phenom II 545/550 would be faster still. and i would try to find a second hand hd4670 or a 9600gt instead of that hd4650.
