I personally favor Amd because i am not at this time employed, nor do i need to be i might add, I think they deliver the best "bang for the buck". Am i right or am i right?

You are right...but according to you, Intel is left....:p

AMD systems boot faster...hahaha. okay okay that killed me.

oh by the way these are the instructions YOUR AMD cpu supports:

instructions

3DNow!â„¢ technology, SSE, SSE2, SSE3, SSE4a Wink

I do understand that sse4a and sse4.x are different but thats beside the point.

first off all
dont treath me as a noob
second
my windows 7 boot in 10 seconds
third
YES AMD BOOT FASTER AS INTEL in OS LOAD idiot Smile

Whoah......Mine load in one Minute.......O_O.....Sad
How do you do that, and I even uninstalled Antivirus....Tongue
At least AMD athlon XP is faster than Daco's P4...and of my first PC......Wink(NO OFFENSE)
Pwned!

only faster when loading data into ram and controlling it for cpu.

all other tasks are faster on the P4.
That's why I said it.....TEEHEE!!!!
I had to own a P4 but I replaced it with Athlon64, which I replaced by C2D, and which I will not replace for atleast 7 years......O_O......

HOHOHOHO!!!!!!But, I will purchase a 8800 ultra from my brother that will surely boost my Dolphin experience....I am offering my G73 for THAT'S RIGHT, ONLY FOR $73. Anyone interested.....:p
As of right now that statement can't be even used any more because like you said current gen Intel have these also. If I remember right the I series are Intel cpus. You have to take in computer configuration like raid, hd speed, and memory bus. Also you are comparing a athlon and p4 that is 3 generations old.

if you wouldn't be an idiot you would know why that is a fact when comparing with a non i-intel cpu (cause those have integrated ram controllers now too).

basicly amd has had integrated ram controllers for AGES. this makes a nice difference when loading alot of data for the cpu to handle like...say... your os

windows 7 on a AMD XP 2500 loads alot faster then Windows XP on a Pentium 4 prescot Wink
and that P4 is a much later generation of cpu's then the AMD XP 2500 so ye

Are you saying the p4 were faster then the athlons back then? Big Grin

Oh I will treat you like a noob. You said a I7 used 400watts hahaha

I'd say that hard disk speed matter more than anything for boot time on current generation of cpu.

ye, and the AMD Athlon XP rig was WAY worse then the P4 rig. the HD's were slower, the Gpu was slower ,everything was slower however it booted XP/windows 7 WAY faster on the AMD Athlon XP

as for the i-series part; i'd need to buy 2 computers from the same generation again to be sure how that is now and if the memory controller integration of intel is done right like AMD.
however, the memory controller isn't the only difference between the cpu's Smile
i just happen to name a difference that im the most familiar with

EDIT: seems like intel did a weird move when integrating the memory controller....
haha daco....why are you in this conversation? i rest my case.

To be on topic. There is no definitive AMD or Intel is better because they have product ranges that both does better in. Not always speed wise but value for the money. In one generation Intel is faster and the next coming 4q '10/1q '11 might be AMD with Orachi. I've owned a Athlon and Opteron when AMD was faster then Intel and now I'm still using my last gen Intel rig.

cause im still up to date to the technology , and if im not i can easily get myself up to date . for example :

seeing the i7 architecture i must say they didn't do so well
[Image: LFDDieLayout.jpg]

dont get me wrong tho, im sure they are still better in multitasking like they always have but their architecture doesn't look that smart to me.

...but its better then before the i-series of cpu's

also, before some1 calls me a amd fanboy : my next pc will have a i7 so ye
haha...okay. WinkBig Grin
