Quote:i never said the chip use 400 watt

Quote:Intel Cons
Use alot of wattage some times 400w (best i7core)

Also you really need to work on your English man.

but ive never heard of tpucdn.com. and i REALLY doubt a 2x overclock would get that much power... :/

No prob, FYI my main rig is AMD powered :p. so I'm merely stating the fact here.

And seriously you never heard of techpowerup? I thought it was renowned, its main force (wizzard) is known throughout hardware industry, and he's also the writer of gpu-z plugin.

Also you can check any other site who's able to push 1090T that high and see the power consumption yourself. I recall the result was pretty much the same.
I think AMD sometimes draw more power than intel in some instances.....I had an AMD Athlon 64 which I ran on 400W chinese PSU...It often shut down itself, even just a second after rebooting. My previous Pentium had no problem. And I also saw through some review sites that AMD is somewhat more power hungry... I thought of this and bought a 450W chinese PSU for my C2D....

This is only my instance... May be I am wrong.....(90% probability....)

I don't know how many times I will have to say this but I'll say it again, depends on the chip not the brand.

Ha! I've tripled my cpus power consumption by doubling the frequency before, it all depends on how much voltage you have to add to make it stable.

true, i didn't think of that fact. thats cause ive never changed voltage to stable a OC anyway
edit: useless post, sorry.
@DACO.....How much you have attained frequency by OC that you didn't tweaked voltage.... I don't know ABCD...or OC of overclocking, cause I CAN NEVER TRY IT, THANKS TO THE CLIMATE and not to mention... MARKET... Angry

No offense Arpit, but can someone translate that into proper english please? I did not understand that post at all. This is what I got out of it:

"@Daco How much of an increase in frequency did you manage to get without increasing the voltage? [Something that doesn't make sense involving ABCD] I can never try it because of the warm climate and the terrible market here."
