Nice, I wonder if that plugin can be merged into the DX9 plugin just like in PCSX2's DX graphics plugin. Also, pidgin with MSN ftw

(06-11-2010, 05:32 AM)boogerlad Wrote: [ -> ]according to rodolf, blue box in mkw is because of lack of logic ops in dx9. Is this fixed here? Does this new plugin share anything with video common?
Right now DX11 shares about as much with VideoCommon as DX9; this also means that the blue box won't be fixed with the new dx plugin (the 3d part of mkwii only shows a blackscreen right now anyway). BUT in the long run it might be possible to fix it completely by doing the blending within the shaders. I'm not sure, yet, how this does work out and whether it's efficient enough though.
(06-11-2010, 01:52 PM)Dynam0 Wrote: [ -> ]Very nice. What about the speed of the plugin at this moment? Can u test other games(wii)?
About 75% of DX9 in Mario Kart DD, although there's still some room for optimization. I just don't know how much, yet.
For other games, check this link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qUUw-FFaBhM
From my own testing, many games work fine already, some with minor glitches (e.g. those pseudo-reflections in mkdd don't work sometimes), some with major glitches (e.g. the road in luigi's course has a totally strange texture). SSBB and Wii Sports work fine ingame. Super Mario Sunshine works okay, although you can't see mario or the dirt stuff (now, don't ask about the water
).I'm still trying to find the reason for some blending issue (hell, I even dreamed about this thing today-.-) which probably causes most (or at least many) of the issues.
Anyway, I doubt it'll be fixed in the initial commit.
tl;dr: The plugin is in an exceptionally well state, considering it's early development stage

sounds great!
BTW, the blue box is gone since, I dunno, maybe 2 weeks, maybe a month...I don't know why, because everyone said it's just not fixable for nvidia cards, but...well, I don't have it anymore

I can't wait
If you get LogicOp, Line Width working in DX11, then finally I cay say bye to OGL plugin
(btw, MyBB emotions suck!)

Sorry, but neither logic blending nor line width are supported by DX11.
I thought about moving blending to the pixel shaders (since DX11 supports logical operators), but that doesn't work because we can't read the existing pixel.

=( I never notice LogicOp, but you need line control, else everything in Metroid looks crummy. I thought DX11 supported Geometry shaders that do things like that.

I could of sworn that someone mentioned that DX10 supports logic blending, just that DX9 didn't hence why the blue box existed with DX9 but not with OpenGL, since OpenGL supports logic blending.
Does this mean that only DX10 supports logic blending, and support for logic blending was removed for DX11?
