Anyway, performance is at about 75% of DX9 right now, still some room for optimization though.

If what I've read is true, then DX10 or DX11 is needed for certain effects due to limitations of the DX9 API, specifically logic blending. On PCSX2 DX10 and DX11 fix graphical issues that only exist with DX9, probably similar issues as with Dolphin, DX10 and DX11 are also faster than DX9 for PCSX2 at least.

keep in mind that what the wii uses is similar to OpenGL and stuff...
I read Dx11 can do multisampling aliasing when Dx9 can't in Dolphin. Anyway that's just an enchantment so I doubt it's an significant reason for making the plugin.
Btw, isn't OpenGL on v4 now? There's no effects in OGL missing requiring an upgrade...?Tongue

No it isn't. The current version is still 3.2, I believe 4.0 is scheduled for late this year but it might be next year, not sure. It's definitely not out yet though, that I am sure of.

It doesn't work like that.....opengl and dx make different changes and improvements each generation. One may make a change that the other deems unnecessary. Even dx11 wouldn't be sufficient for perfect emulation but it does support almost all of the features that the wii supports, if only nintendo hadn't come up with such a weird efb system, that would have made the developers lives so much easier.

It's great if so. By the way new NVidia Tool named "SSAA-Tool" gives support for 2x -8x Sparse-Grid-Super-Sampling AA. It looks much better than ordinary SuperSampling. It works under dx9 and DX10&11. So you can have everywhere Super Sampling AA.
You can have even 32xSGSSAA if you combine it with older hybrid-AA modes like 16xS or 32xS.

That's awesome. If you don't mind, would you post more pics with 32xSSAA or if you have, the experimental dx10/11 plugin.
I don't have dx11 Plugin. I hope i can ran more games with SSAA if Dx11 support Anti-Aliasing, because Nvidia Driver AA works only if you enhance application AA. So far it works only with Open GL plugin.

No AA support in my plugin whatsoever right now. Maybe I'll add that in the future though, or someone else does.
I have some development screenshots on my hdd, but I better use the time to finish up the plugin rather than to upload the screenshots again Wink
anytime soon are you plannng to release a public beta??
