Of course when you have delusional idiots that claim that a certain members build is faster/better than another members build, then it is no wonder.

I guess the decrease in speed can either be blamed on accuracy (which is a good thing) or sloppy unoptimized code (which is a bad thing), either way you will just have to bring these issues to the attention of the developers and hope the fix these issues and optimize their code a bit. I think that with all the issues hacks present, developers are focusing on accurate emulation, fast accurate emulation is sort of a contradiction. Hacks wouldn't be minded all that much if they didn't cause issues and games looked and performed as good as on the actual hardware, or if games looked as good with hacks as they do with accurate emulation.

According to rodolfoosvaldobogado
Quote:this rev is faster than my previus rev. about the requirement, yes the price of correct emulation is more graphic power, sorry to tell but is the only way to achive correct results

He is only claiming that he optimized one of his last commits, but the speed increase is debatable since I have never noticed an increase or decrease of speed with the commit in question. There are also several hundred other commits where no attempts have been made to fix or optimize the buggy/unoptimized code yet, and therefore are responsible for the current performance issues with Dolphin.
The commits to Dolphin have focused on emulation accuracy. I have not seen unoptimized code being committed recently.
Well yeah that is what I also meant, is that the developers are focusing on accuracy, thus causes a decrease of overall performance.
Speeds on revs between 5450 and current are unplayable in some games like wii sports resort. My friend has radeon 5970 yet getting same problems.

If using between 5100-5300 revisions, all games are full speed. Mii's are missing eyes sometimes and mario has blank stare, but it's a small sacrifice for 60fps..
developers are doing a great job, not like others cant do any better. I guess only option is to test new revisions or use the stable build.

before this i played every game in fullscreen 2048x1152 without any fps decrease.now..well its not possible any more...
i play in 1920x1080 window mode now fps 30max ,switch to full it goes down to 22-23..

revert beck to previous rev game speed does not decrease at all.

I see you have Crossfire... how big is the difference between single GPU and Crossfire in Dolphin?
