but definitively dolphin works best with 4 or 2 cores?
It's debatable, it likely won't give much more performance, removing some of the overhead of system processes might net between 1 - 5 additional frames at most if even that.

You are right the difference is about 3 to 5 frames, not really that noticeable, just a slight improvement.

i would say 4 cores because then there would be nothing else running on the 2 cores besides dolphin, with only 2 cores you have to run dolphin +your os and other apps running in the background

I don't have a quad core, but the tester I gave it to said that the speed seemed the same.

ector also used some math to prove that the speed increase would not be noticeable. Beaten by simple arithmetic hehe
