Still need an OS (sometimes XP users have issues that Vista or Win7 users dont)
Are you using x86 or x64 builds? (32bit or 64bit)
Are there any warnings or dialogues that appear before the emulator crashes?
How does it crash? Does it just freeze, forcing you to end the process by force?
Have you tried different video plugins to see if it runs with any of them? (ie DirectX 9 or DirectX 11 instead of OpenGL)
Have you tried running it on a different computer to see if it exhibits the same behavior?
Have you tried re-downloading it to make sure you have an uncorrupted copy of the emulator?
Have you tried experimenting with the settings to see if any options are causing these crashes?
Did you copy the User folder from another build? (If so, which one?)
Have you tried a fresh "install" (emulator downloaded and extracted to a new folder and not overwriting old versions)
What games did you try?
Do the games you try work with other versions of Dolphin? (If so, which versions have you tested?)
Do you have the most up-to-date version of DirectX?

Like I said, vague problems are generally not easy to solve. We need more details before we can successfully diagnose and fix your problem.

I have windows 7 x64. I have just a black screen when I launch a game. But with the other revision of the dolphin website it works perfect. I'm gonna try with a fresh installation.

SSE4.2 is better.

After giving it some thought I think I'm going to start rebuilding revisions I've already built so they can be BL9 (Build Level 9, best optimizations and compiling method so far).
I'll be doing this until I can get the latest revisions compiling correctly. (the latest ones aren't even compiling anymore with ICC XE Dodgy)

Keep in mind that "Manual Selection" on my site allows you to browse all of the revisions I've built Smile
What is the newest build you can compile Huh

As you are doing that you might want to look at this

As you are doing that you might want to look at This [MSDN's SSE4A Documentation]
The most recent build I can compile would not be much higher than r6970, although possibly r7128 (last one with VS2008 project files).
Intel C++ Compiler (the compiler I use) does not support SSE4a. The speed increase from compiling with SSE4A is negligible at best and not worth compiling (it only has 4 instructions compared to the 54 in SSE4.1/SSE4.2)

(03-23-2011, 06:08 AM)ryancollins Wrote: [ -> ]Do you think you can compile r1 ... yes I am serious.
r1 has nothing but 3 folders: no code. It can't be built. The earliest one that could possibly be built might be r4, but I've never built anything earlier than r3xxx. I don't know why anyone would want one as early as that anyway, considering all the improvements they've made since then.
Hello, I just found out about your builds and I am eager to try them. However I get this error when trying to start up "The program can't start because OpenAL32.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.". Any clue on how to fix this ?

EDIT: sorry, just copied it over from Dolphin 2.0 it works now. Thanks Big Grin
