Thank you. It feels good to be important

i dont know why it took me so long to try this out, but wow... i have a pretty decent set up (i7) and can run SMG2 pretty damn well, but with this i get a 15-20fps increase. there were a couple of levels that would run at around 40-45 (starshine beach) that now run at 60. the only problem i ran into is messed up transparencies (at times). i'll look into it and try other revisions later.

Great! Thx for testing!
Looking forward to whatever you find

Around 10 FPS extra in Super Mario Galaxy with this revision compared to r6139.
Why these big jumps in performance now and not 1 year ago? Have the devs discovered something amazing? LOL

for all you guys with big speed-ups, you should look here -
http://code.google.com/p/dolphin-emu/source/detail?r=6149
this rev gives massive speed boosts such as the ones you're seeing, although unfortunately it causes loads of rendering errors e.g. "the only problem i ran into is messed up transparencies (at times)", and segmentation faults

it is now disabled by default as of r6155 until these errors are fixed.

Are you talking about the r6149 or the or r6152?? I did get a lot of chopping and music was acting a little weird the first time i tried the r6152, but i tried again and it worked fine...
both. if you look at the link i posted it was for r6149, which is when the dlist cache was introduced. this is what is causing both the speed-ups and the errors. it is still enabled in r6152 but as i said before has now been disabled by default from r6155 onwards until it is fixed.
6152 x64 sse3 now temporarily unavailable
dose sse3 support other processer than intel ?
i got a couple of crashes with r152 ssse3 x64 while trying arc rise fantasia (right after a long boss battle). i got the win 7 "close program" pop up prompt. 1st time i thought it was due to a game glitch (the wrong enemy at a specific spot) but the 2nd time it just crashed out of the blue. went back to r137. i didn't test the sse4.1 x64 yet
