EDIT: It seems like stable revisions were made until the end of the day, so r5325 is the 2.0 build.

Are you sure? I went ahead and looked at the release date and it was April 12th, not April 10th. Also, it looks like the last stable revision out on that day was committed that day and is R5350.

And which is the best of them?
By the way, I tested downloading the emulator again an it worked pretty well for a couple of hours. But again it crashed with the message I posted before.

Make sure you're getting the right SSE type for your computer. A higher SSE type than what your computer can handle may run well at first but if an instruction is called that is specific to the higher SSE then that will cause the emulator to crash.

Other than that, I don't know what to tell you. The latest version is not going to be as stable as a finished program, and there are bound to be bugs in it.

Hi , thanks a lot for the new build. But is there any other wiimote plugin I can use rather than the incomplete one. Seems the incomplete version doesn't work with some game like sengoku basara. It says the wiimote is not connected.

Are you using WindowsXP? If you are, then the only way to use a different plugin would be to use an older version because for some reason the regular wiimote plugin won't work on WindowsXP in newer revisions.

Yep, I imagined that. According to what I wrote and what Admin89 said, my computer can handle the ssse3 build. I just don't know which one is better.
I didn't have in mind that thing about a finished program. I tried with SSSE3 and worked well, again it crashed at a random moment, but it isn's frequent as before. I just don't see any performance differece, but as I told you, is a laptop with regular specifications, so I should be glad for being able to play Metroid: Echoes at a decent playable speed.

PS: wow, that's a weird quote I've jsut made =P
@Lectrode,just a quick tip, till yest i had Athlon x2 5000+ and with any sse3 build there was simply no difference in any games's fps. in some cases sse3 was even slower by 1 or 2 fps.
BUT now i installed Phenom x4 9950 BE OC 3ghz,and it definitely sees yous SSE3 speedup now!
i am guessing since all this war over instructions and intel killing AMD from intel compiler, that low end cpu's does not have correct implementation of instructions or maybe just some code of support for sse3 (intel compiled bins) itself.
anyway now i accept your builds :-)
Does your SSSE3 build include 4.2? My cpu has SSSE3 but not 4.2

Weird, but I'm glad it's working for you now.

SSSE3 and SSE4.2 are completely separate builds. So no, SSSE3 does not include SSE4.2
(08-10-2010, 07:42 AM)GHBAimen Wrote: [ -> ]Is it just me, or I can not see the difference between an SSE3 build and a normal Dolphin build? I see no change in the whole thing. No change in FPS... nothing at all.

According to this post, and I can attest to this as well, the Instruction Sets have different effects on different games.

What games did you test?
(08-10-2010, 08:30 AM)GHBAimen Wrote: [ -> ]Just one request. Can you not make a new Dolphin build of the latest SVN r6080?

I'll start compiling in a couple hours. I'll be compiling the latest at that time. Or did you want R6080 specifically?
(08-10-2010, 08:45 AM)GHBAimen Wrote: [ -> ]I mean like that you compile it as you normally would with any other versions such as regular Dolphin version, SSE3 version and so on... You know what I mean. xD

Lolz alrighty Smile
