Hey guys I figured out the solution to getting sound to work on wind waker for dolphin emu 3.0.
I run a Dell inspiron 1525
Windows vista home basic
Intel pentium dual-core 4GB ram
My graphics card is the Intel Chipset family so game runs really slowly.
up until recently I had major problems with sound and dolphin 3.0 crashing at start up. But the weird thing was the first time I played the game on default settings it had sound.
So using a process of elimination I figured out what settings were causing my game(ZWW) to lose sound.

You HAVE TO disable the patch "fix item hang" under properties>patches for the game. I dunno why but it stuffs up the sound EVERYTIME. When you enable cheats under DSP>General make sure that you DO NOT click the fix item hang patch. When I did this my sound miraculously started working again.

Oh and one more thing. When you are in the game
Start up(obviously the place in the game where you have to press start) make sure you don't let it load too much. Literally press start right from the get go. Otherwise for some reason the sound loop will get stuck again( at least it does for me).

Handy Hint(nothing to do with sound): under the Graphics> Enhancements do not tick the 3D vision box if you have intel chipset graphics card. I'm not sure about other cards but it eventually freezes the game at start so your GCPad doesn't work. 3D vision = bad idea(at least for my computer) I'm also not sure if it's the same for wiimote(try it out and see).
Fix item hangs stuffs up the sound because it wasn't designed when there was sound for Wind Waker.

Yea and I also just found out that the game sometimes freezes after cutscenes if you don't have fix item hang on. So in order to play this game you have to play up to important dungeons with fix item hang off(for sound) then save the game right before a cutscenes and then reload with fix item hang on so your game won't freeze. That's a little tedious I gotta admit. But at least it definitely works. Confused
Sorry, bur I have a silly question: How can I instal that?! Blush

Aaaand... the 64bit download of the DSP Plugin doesn't work for me, it says I don't have the permission for that!

Do you have to rebuild Dolphin ti implement the new code? Or is there a ways just to paste the plugins etc into the program?
Yes, you have to rebuild.

the looping problem in Zelda TP (and SMG I think) is more difficult than I thought. That's why I tried to work at another problem. So I created another thread for this patch.

I tried to repair the music in ZWW prologue.
The music is not played accurately with this patch but at least it doesn't jump anymore. Sometimes the music is even played correctly. Cracking is still present Undecided . (Another timing problem ?!?)

Hope this patch does not break other games.

Happy testing Smile

P.S.: Someone with emulation knowledge should look at my comments in the code... Maybe they give hints how to solve the clicking noise problem.

The updated version contains RetroX' hint (thanks Smile ). No other improvements are included.
