why can't i?

i can press buttons and all but when i have to point at something with the wiimote i can't...

i even tried to uncheck hide mouse cursor

Which plugin are you using?
If you are using the new wiimote plugin, for normal ir cursor mouse control you should leave IR up/down/left/right blank (not mapped).
