That makes sense. Still shouldn't be to hard to code for given as how it's just an extension to sse 4.2/4.3. If they can make dolphin use both sse2 and sse3 than they can definitely pull this off with ease. And if they do then a quad core OCed sandy bridge will be able to run any game fullspeed all the time Smile.

Interesting how intel and amd not only copy each other in rotation cycles and pass each other in rotation cycles but also seem to have a habit of trying to make the same kinds of improvements at the same time. Both bulldozer and sandy bridge are focused around improving efficiency with floating point intensive tasks, but through two different methods. Bulldozen uses an APU while sandy bridge uses an extension to sse. Basically amd is choosing the hardware method while intel is choosing the software method.
