my DirectX was fully updated, for some reason i tried this morning and it decided to work.
Ok so does anyone know how to get the 64it version working with controller plugins showing up? I'm on windows 7 64 and have the latest direct x (website says there is nothing to update as I am currently on the newest build) but the controller plugins just doesn't show up when I install the 64bit version. I have re-downloaded the setup file from the official dolphin site a number of times and reinstalled but still the same problem. 32bit version works fine.
Try updating Visual C++ runtime environment...
It worked for me few days ago...

Same here. Maybe uninstalling and installing again directx? I don't now, try all....but nothing works
try installing the directx 9 aug. redist. it wont install over directx 10 or 11 but it may solve your problem.

Not that it really matters but... what is your graphics card. And are you using genuine windows? because sometimes non-genuine windows will prevent updates such as directx from installing properly.
I success ran windows update a few days ago....nothing. Latest directx installed. directx 9 aug. redist. also installed.
My graphics card is Geforce 9500 GT 1 GB. Reinstall nvidia drivers and nothing...
No other games or apps reports directx problems...i dont now
