It should work full speed with your specs aswell. Since melee is a low spec game

in captains falcon stage with 4 chars i have 35/40 fps, so it isnt a low spec game afterall
sorry to hear some of you guys are not getting the speeds ur system can handle, for me my pc is pretty old so i really didn't espect much of performance. until after like 1hr 40 mins of stressful testing, changing and tweaking the game settings, i finally found the right emulator build for my system. man, emulation can be very tricky at some times, everything counts when it comes to performance ram, cpu, gpu and os, and for each computer it could work differently with certain settings, it really varys alot if you're missing either or some its requirements. ok, ill like to thank the emu developer team for this awesome release, and this community for its support. ok enough talk here are my settings i use for SSBM.

note adjust the framelimit 50+ higher for more speed, but do this only if ur gpu can handle it.

i know that it is other r4771 releases out there, but this one seems to be compiled for better performance, please use this one i provided in the link.

Download Dolphin SVN r4771

results :

C. Falcon Stage - F - Zero Grand Prix Mute City 47,48 - 50 fps

Link Stage - Hyrule Temple 48-50 fps

Kirby Stage - Dream Land Fountian of Dreams 44,46-50 fps

Ness Stage - Eagleland Onett 48-51 fps

note when just playing 2 player mode, i can get like 49-50+ fps for just about all stages!!
I see that you whould help and give all power in that.... but it didnt work...

i start to belive that melee is a big one game for that you need a High class pc... bigger than mine... cause burnout, and ultimate muscle vs new aliance and SOME others worked at full speed...

too bad... but yeah, no doubt you would need a better pc, since you can never have enough power for emulation. like i siad before everyone have thier own differrent experience, some people like me with crappy pcs are lucky to run things . but one thing ive notice is that your cpu is under 2.5 ghz, which can be bottom necking ur gpu for this emulation, im no expert but i think the minimal requirements was to have a very fast dual core proccessor which would be 3 ghz as example. see me i actually was able to do a successful over clock from 2.5 -> 3.5+ ghz, secondly, i had to also over clock my ram and unlock my cores to both run at the same speed. i done a little test, i undo all my tuning and ran dolphin r4771 SSBM again, and no surprize my fps was crappy like around the 35-38 ish. im not telling you or recommened you to overclock anything but simply just sharing with you my own problem and how i was able to fix this by changing settings in both the bios and emulator. i'll just leave a few more screenshots to give you a even better example of what im using and how its performing, i manage to squeeze even a little more fps with just minor changes, but anyways, i really hope you can get this resolve man, good luck!

Funny hes geting less FPS I am I get average 30 to 50 fps *4 player battles* wile in Brawl its faster 33 to 55 Confused
i know that sucks, it's gotta be something wrong with the directx or something, um, but you my friend that is pretty good considering what specs you have im amazed by this, i didn't even think you can play this emulator on sinlge core and great videos too Cool
switch to dx9 plugin. opengl plugin is slower. put efb copy to texture
your pc may be perfect, for any other pc games, at least for you...
but you should understand that emulation is a different thing, anything beyond 3ghz for dolphin, is too weak, and also your video card...but emulation need more cpu so..
if you want full speed, you need a new pc or a wii, or need to wait until they realese an optimized code, that make emulator run at full speed even on your specs.
thats the truth, nowdays at least
@dust that's partially true. you don't necesarily need a 3ghz cpu to run 90% of games full speed you know. check post #16, and you'll believe me. also go to game discussion. there's a thread with over 70 games that run full speed on low end cpus.
