Oh boy... I rather stay away from compression then >_<
I don't know what he is talking about, but compression has virtually no effect on speed for me at least.
Dolphin compress a wii game to gcm(gamecube file),fast to load if you use SSE3...around 2-3 secs.No effect on the speed ,my muramasa get 75 FPS as usual
nah i know what i'm saying, but this thing ONLY occured for 1 game i compressed, the other ones were fine lol.
i compress every iso. Tongue
it has no effect on me either except naruto clash of ninja 2.
so chill out

cmccmc

http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/thread-6975.html?highlight=compress this thread explains why theirs not a difference in speed. more preciously the 6th post

u wanna see how it ran before with my uncompressed game, then you'll believe me. i have a youtube video of this game runing 110-120% when it was uncompressed. now i need frameskip to go to just 100%.
the other games were fine, i already said that.i'm not an idiot to spam bullshit, i'm speaking from my experience.and here's the proof that my pc made the game go ''slow''. this is before i compressed the game

That doesn't prove anything, all it does is display the speed you get with fraps or whatever software you used.
In order for you to prove your point you need a before and after presentation of what happened.

In either case if what you're saying is correct, you screwed up somewhere between the simple task of acquiring the iso file and clicking the compress option.
Do it again, you have an unusual problem.

And btw, you need to remember that you are not playing the hardest of games, you're playing playing clash of a ninja, a game that is capable of being run on low end systems not mediocre or "average" as you put it. So essentially anybody could pull that speed off. To reiterate this post, yes you showed me that you were once able to run the game suitably but none of this proves your point, infact it proves mine.
how can it prove yours? it displays the speed of the game before i actually compressed it. i can record another video and show how the game runs now. +that vid was just a reference, i didn't make it for this specific reason. i made it a long time ago.
EDIT:WTF, now the game runs the same as before but only in windowed mode unfortunately Sad
well, at least it runs the same in 640x480. i can't seem to understand. Undecided
yesterday i played this game 70% speed with same revision, and today it plays full speed, weird...but hey, this is dolphin, anything can happen. well, at least i'm half right, about fullscreen.
Well you've narrowed it down, something's wrong with your settings.

Well it doesn't prove my above sarcastic post (sorry), but the idea of their being no such decrease in speed based on the absence of evidence proving so.
That is, until/and if, you decide to put up another video.

Maybe you've got some fucked up vid drivers
