I just started using Dolphin not too long ago to play Super Smash Bros. Melee (because nostalgia) and the framerate kept going everywhere from 20 fps back up to a stable 60. I'm not entirely sure what it is, but any help would be appreciated.
Oh also, specs:

CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 940 BE @3.0GHz
RAM: 4GB of DDR2 RAM@1066MHz
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX OC'd to Ultra specs. [yes it's possible]

Help would be greatly appreciated.
EDIT: Forgot to mention, i'm using Dolphin 2.0.
is auto on for frame rate it makes games run more faster sometimes and putting the frame skip to 3 or above i use 3.

he doesn't need to do that. use the dx9 plugin and set efb to texture

Did not work, made the speed go even worse. I'm sure it's not my computer. Any other suggestions? ):

that's real strange..... try to disable framelimit and audio throttle. are you sure you enabled efb to texture, IT IS faster than efb to ram. and your video card shouldn't be a limiting factor....hmmmmm....

Disabled framelimit and audio throttle, did enable EFB to texture. Shit's still lagging hardcore but speeding up to over 100 fps when the lag is done. Perhaps this is a issue with hard drive speed? I've noticed the same lag on other emulators that use 3d rendering, like no$gba and Desume.

then disable monitoring your GPU temp.

How the fuck is that supposed to do anything? :\

I have the same problem with Melee, but with a slower pc, I get the random jumps and it goes over 100% emulation speed but the rest of the time it's slow.
