i know you guys must be tired of us new guys with issues!! but i hope someone can help.

ive read the complete setup guide by unknownforce. it was a good intro and ive read tonnes of other forum posts about speed and performance issues.

all of my games run at about 30% speed, no matter what.

the graphics are all screwed up about 90% of the time (mario kart wii is all blurry)

ive tried this on 2 different computers, the specs are:

3.4 dual core, 800 FSB with 3gb of ram
1GB 4650 ati radeon video card
onboard sound
asus p5ld2 mainboard.
windows 7
all newest directx and videocard drivers
im using a asus usb-bt21 adapter
real wiimotes

my other pc, which the games work WORSE on:
is a 2.4 quad core i5 processor
with 6gb of ram
and a 1gb 4650 ati radeon video card.
windows 7
all newest directx and videocard drivers
im using a asus usb-bt21 adapter
real wiimotes

im using all the settings laid out in the complete setup guide, but no go!

i can tell you that my cpu stays at 100% on both pc's and my video card never goes over 24% usage

any help is much appreciated.!

thanks!
Use the DX9 plugin since you are running ATI. It'll be faster.

If it's still slow (38fps isn't that bad), let us know what the DX9 plugin settings are.
i got 1 or 2 games to work at about 80% speed after screwing around for like 2 hrs here...

but my settings for dx9 are...

aspect ratio: auto

resolution 640x480

anti-alias off

enable cpu>efb access: on

safe texture off

ENHANCEMENTS : all off

advanced:

enable efb copy is checked with TO ram radio selected.

thats about it!

do you guys think my 3.4 dual core should run this at 100% ???
@thezapman
If you use EFB copy "to texture" rather than ram, games should run faster.
fyi, the 3.4 duio core will be faster, dolphin doesn't support quad cores and has stated they never will, so you are basically using a 3.4 duo and a 2.4 duo.

Stop misinforming people, he is using a 3.4 dual core (which I assume is a core2duo) and a 2.4 quad core i5. Even if Dolphin don't support quad cores his cpu is still a quad core. Dolphin sees all the cores, and all the threads. It's just that it can't use more than two.
you tried setting EFB copy "to Texture" yet?
Turn this off:

enable cpu>efb access: on

Turn framelimit to off, too.
i tried to copy to texture, no difference

i tried turning off enable cpu>efb access and Turn framelimit off too.

the only thing which seems to help is turning framelimit off. when i do the games go to about 600% speed, then go to 45% and stay there.

HuhHuhHuh

im confused!
Do you have audio throttle on? Its under "DSP" if so turn it off.
