when I try to play a wii-game (Super SmashBros Brawl) without a wiimote (instead using a (an?) xbox-controller (as GC-controller)), Dolphin warns me after a few minutes playing, that the wiimote is disconnected... well, I didn't connect the wiimote. This is a bit annoing, but not that worse.

@Killersnake432
Well, that this happens is no suprise to me,
this is nothing special... kind of expected:
I mean, this is a special (unusual) case, I mean, which wii-game can be played without a wiimote, but with a GC-controller?
There arn't so many.

Dolphin was programmed to check if the wiimote 1 is connected while playingg a wii-game, to garantee its functionality ('cause as I mentioned, dolphin expects that you use a wiimote to play a wii-game)

Oh, sry if I misunderstood you: at first I interpreted your sentence "thought it was just me at first" as "I think this just happens to me because of my PC/dolphin-installl", but if you meaned "I thought I was the only one trying to play a wii-game without a wiimote & noticing that bug", you could forget this hole post Tongue
try disconnecting it as soon as the game starts with Alt+F5
It take like 10 minutes to dolphin to discover that the wiimote is not connected, Using the auto reconnect option makes that, at least, the message only appears in the notice log

I wonder if this patch fixes it http://code.google.com/p/dolphin-emu/issues/detail?id=2538

Originally I wasn't searching a way to prevent the (alert-) window to appear (but it's maybe usefull for the other users until it is fixed), instead I wanted to request a fix (with low priority) preventing dolphin to check if the wiimote is disconnected, after it was "never" connected.
Why is everyone constantly posting support requests in the Site Feedback and Question forums? If it doesn't directly pertain to the site itself, it doesn't belong here. Don't post in this section unless you have a suggestion related to the site itself, have site bug or issue to report or would like to leave feedback regarding the site as support requests isn't what this section is intended for. If you need support, want to discuss the emulator or any games, these are the proper sections to do so:

General Dolphin Discussion: http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/forum-4.html

Support: http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/forum-7.html

Game Discussion: http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/forum-8.html

Discussions related to SVN builds and Patches belong here:

SVN Revision Discussion: http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/forum-6.html

Code Patches: http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/forum-14.html

The following section is for everything else not related to Dolphin:

Delfino Plaza: http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/forum-13.html
The section has "questions" in the name so they think they can post any question here, and as we all know people do not really take the time to read and understand what it is they're doing.
Agreed, which is why I propose that this section be renamed to "Site Related Feedback" with a brief description what the section is intended for, seems to have worked quite well for Ngemu.

I also thought the moderators were closing any threads requesting support for the emulator and games or anything not directly related to the site that was posted in this section?
