Sweet! I have 3 monitors in eyefinity, I'd tried to get super-wide working before but I never managed it. What settings do I need to pick to make this work? Widescreen hacks as well?
My resolution is 5040x1050, or more like 5250x1050 with bezel compensation.
I only have these 3 (all gamecube)
SSBM
Twilight princess
Windwaker
Cheers guys, I'll put up screenies if I get this going!
hi pizza65, set the aspect ratio to "stretch to window" and check wide screen hack, then launch the game and manually stretch it to the resolution you want.

Awesome, thanks!
SSBM is AWESOME like this: (apologies for browser rape but you had to expect it in a thread like this)
ssbm uberwide
I had to upgrade to a newer version of dolphin and managed to wipe out my saves, so I couldn't show anything more interesting in TP. But i dont think it'll matter, cos widescreen still seems to be bugged with that one, see:
Twilight princess
I also had some audio lag, which may be the new version of the emulator, or some setting I forgot, but has anyone else experienced this? Both SSBM and TP did it.
I've got windwaker on a harddrive somewhere, I'll try that one later!
EDIT: adventure is a bit sweet now
my wide adventure

Man that's great. The screen looks natural if you stretch it in eyefinity? Might have to try an ati 5k+ card for this, and some additional monitors

Sure does! These aren't as super-wide as the shots in the first post, because they're across the whole screen, ie, perfect for actually playing. On 3 monitors, a degree of fisheye is
required to make it look right, because the side monitors are in your peripheral vision. SSBM is perfect for this.
Looking at some of the other images posted, someone mentioned that metroid prime would distort at the edges due to having a first person viewport. I've got prime 1 somewhere, I'll give it a go. FPS are awesome in eyefinity.
(I'm using a radeon 5850 by the way, it's a beast. Should be plenty for eyefinity while games are being limited to console specs, heh

Nice that the super wide is actually usefull for gaming, not just screenshots. Since the extra width is on extra screens, I guess the "out of camera bonds" bubble in SSBM/SSBB isn't too confusing while playing?
twilight princess (GC) still doesnt look right.. hope they can fix that..
WoW thanks for super-widescreen!!!! now my games run smoother if i stretch and pull back they suddenly hop 10fps more. for example DBZ was unplayable in latest revisions for me and now it runs full speed thx to this trick. ima make some videos with super widescreen to show the awesomeness with some 3d games. from 3d they actually become super paper mario style

okay well, here comes the noise....
I had lots of issues getting wind waker to be non-blurry before i fixed it, if anyone else is using eyefinity I can pass them the config that worked. It's crystal clear, the only blemish is the jpeg compression in the screenies
And yes, the distortion is correct for 3 monitors, and looks natural.
I was going to replay windwaker again anyway...
