So since r5280 (thanks to Billiard26) we can get the screen as wide as possible, which can look cool (but small), if you make the window very low but wide. So I took some shots with widt almost 1920 pixels widt but just a few hundred pixels heights. Many games will just look crap though, but Brawl works particulary well. See if you can get some nice shots in different games.
BTW use SSAA
And for any dev coming here, do you think it's possible to make a "panorama screenshot" mode, where the image is rended with normal height and, say, 20000 pixels width?

Just wow, those shots are gorgeous. Just what video games should look like, sort of..

I'm thinking these games would look fantastic on an EyeFinity setup with 3 or more displays so it doesn't look too stretched out, but it will display almost the whole area you're in.

BTW i know this Prime one isn't so great, but it will try to only render what's originally visible, so you can't get wide pictures of the great landscape
To make it not look stretched out at the sides, you would need a cropped screen, or put you eyes right next to the screen (where the camera sees everything from)

wait... so widescreen has been fixed ? didnt some game have glitches, like twilight princess (GC)?

Its better if you have two screens
some games because of optimization make geometry disappear on the sides..
