No, dolphin has a working NAND file system. The games will create the id file correctly. So unless you delete it, you will be using the same one each time.

Can you rephrase that, please? I can not understand what you are attempting to say.
IIRC you were given a new friend code everytime you went online with DeDmuMe which probably lead to N doing whatever they did to stop it. Those darn hackers are using up all the friend codes.
You think they blocked all the free friend codes? Wouldn't then using a legit friend code, with whatever matching ID required, still work?
I have to chime in and say that implementing online play is great, because it is a cornerstone in emulation to be able to do that. People cheating online? Nintendo online play is already ruined and the way that Nintendo enforces it is crap. For example on Monster Hunter 3, you had to be cheating excessively to even be caught. The cheater would get a slap on the wrist and then a week ban and then a real ban tied to the character and then if they had to, your "MAC". But it is easy to change that. Also you can't stop people from using cheats on dolphin, since somebody could patch it back in, open source and all. You just have to take the good with the bad.
wifi download only for user with over 9000 posts...
here is my thoughts,
i think WiFi would be great for dolphin. cheaters are cheaters, its not like people cheat because they are playing an emulator, they are cheating because they are cheaters. and cheaters will always cheat no matter if they are playing on a real Wii or a PC emulation
wifi would be good, a lot of these games are missing a big part if no online is used.
what i would REALLY love to see happen is a Wii FW dump resulting in starting dolphin and then choosing Wii and the wii screen actually boots up, allowing you to create a Mii and everything, maintain friends online (since in this scenario WiFi is incorporated) and have dolphin behave like a TRUE Wii.
i will gladly throw in some cash to buy a Wii for a Dev if a FW dump is all that is needed to get the FULL Wii experience, dolphin is great as is but you only can run the discs, its not really a Wii. i would love to see this project literally turn a PC into a Wii.
worst case scenario though if WiFi won't be incorporated because of N, would it be possible to create a dolphin online? allow creation of avatars and a way to manage dolphin friends and play online games together with dolphin friends, hosting servers on a users PC???? this would still be great, playing MK online or whatever your game of choice is with other dolphin lovers would just simple be amazing
It's a moot point arguing about this, since as someone pointed out above they have no interest in supporting a feature that would put them in hot water with Nintendo.

Who said this? There is an active branch in the source tree for wifi support....
I know im late to the party, but i didn't see this suggestion in this thread.
Couldn't they make their own server for wifi for people that use the emulator. So as not to have to deal with N or getting a lawsuit put on them.
Yeah, in other news: Devs have unlimited time resources and no real life... o_o
On a more serious note, if N was going to sue us for anything they would've already done that long time ago. Dolphin on WFC is probably their least worry, esp. since their network is full of cheaters already anyway.
