Also, newer versions don't even run. The Dolphin says that my card is outdated.
That isn't possible, I'm able to play Half Life with 30FPS, which should still be above console level.
u have 2 download sum moar ram

Dolphinn runs faster for me now than it did then.
Wow. You really are "posting your noobness".
I don't know if NV & Rachel are serious or playing along. If it's the former then read the title, Anti-Ultimate is playing around although I give him 1/10 for his noob troll attempt, you could do much better, I am disappoint in you.

Poor AU. That score... XD
(Sorry for double-post) You know, for me this is like the second "random" thread.
Help, I don't know if I'm alive or not. I'm really a noob.

What games?
For me most games are MUCH slower on newer builds no matter the settings.

It's hard to tell. His second post is clearly sarcasm but with his first post it's hard to tell. Also I kind of agree with it....
I mean I spend hundreds of dollars every year upgrading my rig and yet in most games my performance doesn't go up long term. Because dolphin is getting slower just as fast as hardware is getting faster. And yet anytime anyone mentions a peep about anything related to performance the devs either act nasty to them or tell them to just stop using horrible outdated hardware. Apparently that means that I have to keep my rig at current top of the line standards all the time because that seems to be the only way to achieve acceptable performance levels. There is now a common held belief among many devs and users that anyone complaining about performance is just using really old slow hardware and should just upgrade. Therefore their complaints are nullified. However many users that have up to date hardware have also been affected by it in a noticeably way. These performance drops are almost always caused by the removal of useful hacks which of course is done to improve code clarity and reduce maintenance work. Not to improve game accuracy. Sometimes without any explanation at all of why they were removed. Any removal of hacks is praised universally by the dev team while the userbase is split on whether to trust the devs that it's in their best interest long term or question how this benefits them. But those who question it are quickly shot down and declared entitled brats by everyone else. So they mostly keep their mouths shut these days. Of course often times when these hacks are removed the devs tell us it's to make room for some new improvements that apparently can't be done otherwise. These improvements then are either never made or are only partially implemented before the dev stops.
Now that I think about it none of the games that I play regularly have improved at all since dolphin 3.0. They've just gotten much more demanding. Normally I would just use an older revision and forget about following dolphins development but so many useful features get added along side these hack removals that I have no choice but to switch between different builds for different things. Which is quite frustrating.
I for one am tired of building $1,200 rigs and spending $300 every year just to keep them up to date only to have a certain dev who will not be named (but you all know who I'm talking about) drop the f bomb on us anytime we talk about this. I've been trying to run SMG2 at fullspeed since 2009 (back then I got 80% speed on my Q6600 on dolphin r4xxx) and I can't because everytime I upgrade my rig new changes are implemented which make dolphin slower. It's a goal I can never reach because the goalpost moves further every time you go forward. I will not be upgrading to haswell/broadwell this year because I know that if I do the performance benefit won't last very long. I just can't keep doing this. It's not worth it. Hell maybe somebody will decide to remove openGL/d3d11 this time and force everyone to use software rendering because it makes it easier to implement certain things and can the potential to be more accurate. And fuck anybody who wants to keep using those older faster options because who cares about them right.
I haven't voiced my opinion on any of this since it all started because I saw how the people who did were treated and did not want to be one of those people. Plus I didn't want to antagonize the devs since I do appreciate the work they do other than the removal of useful options. I swear though the way some of them act to anyone who opposes their point of view makes the situation 10x worse than the changes by themselves.
Let's see how much flak I get for writing this. Hopefully exposure will be minimal since this is in a spoiler tag in a not so popular thread.

Lol, thats one of the most serious and biggest rant spoilers I have seen from you lol. It could be that I haven't been around long enough lol.
