You can use either or, but a Wiimote is preferred for Wii games that support it. I would say a game pad is better for games such as Brawl than a Wiimote. I personally can't stand using the keyboard so I use my Wired Xbox 360 pad or Wiimote and wireless sensor bar.

Ok, got it to work fine now with the keyboard but the game seems to run a bit slow. Anything I can change in the graphics settings that can improve preformence?
