Hey guys, i returned my Nyko controller and just paid more and bought the Nintendo brand one, and i got it connecting (vibrate's and shows 1 Connected in config screen.) so it looks like the controller was bad, causing my previous problems and the bluetooth device is working. I did buy some known compatible ones someone recommended in the "List of Compatible Bluetooth devices" thread of mine. So i'll use that one instead as soon as i get it in the mail, however, the following
I can seem to connect fine now, and it shows "Connected to 1 Real WiiRemote" in the WiiRemote plugin screen. I have "Input Source" switched to "Real WiiRemote" and if i go into Recording and hit the + key, while holding it down, all the axis's move up and down properly as i move the controller in many different directions. But when i start up "Super Mario Brothers" Dolphin doesn't seem to respond to any button's i push at all. It shows press 2 to start, and i press 2, and every other button and nothing is happening. I did make sure while playing, that "Connect WiiRemote 1" is checked under tools, but still nothing. What am i still missing by chance???? THanks again for any help.
Try to do alt-F5 a couple of times. Does it work with other games ?
No, i tried other games and it doesn't work in any games. And this is SO frustrating. It's connecting, it vibrate's right and shows Connected 1 Real WiiRemote, it's set on Using Real WiiRemote, and going into 'Recording' and pushing the + button shows all the axis properly moving, even aiming at my ceiling light shows the IR X+Y properly changing (seems to work fine as well as candles BTW, they are enhanced color spectrum bulbs.) but yet no response in game of button's, nor axis. And tried Alt+F5 (connect Real WiiRemote 1) a few times. It's driving me mad.
I don't know if it's a compatibility with Win7 64bit or what. I still have bluetooth device on the way that someone linked as working great, so that's one option remaining for sure. But it's odd that it's connecting and showing axis. I am trying anything here if any other idea's come to mind. Maybe something i just haven't thought of yet. I dunno.
Exactly same stuff happens for me on windows stack. Try bluesoleil or widcomm.
(And you guys on bugtracker said that i'm alone with that issue)
Ah shoot. Well, i am not alone at least. THAT'S a relief. I tried downloading the widcomm drivers and it just seems to sit there for ever in Detecting Bluetooth Device step. Oh well. Hopefully the other USB device i was told to buy will be coming in the mail soon and my headache's will be over. I'll post something on that bugtracker issue to confirm other's also having the same problem so it helps.
uhh, you shouldn't have done that. Nyko controllers work fine.
You shouldn't bougth new stick yet. First try bluesoleil.
Well, the one recommended and linked that works great was actually only $1.99 and free shipping, so at least i won't have to have problems or questionable stuff anymore due to bluetooth devices. And i don't want to pay $30-40 for bluesoleil drivers. And i read that the $15 bluesoleil game controller plugin is needed. I tried ACQUIRING the bluesoleil drivers, and got them, but apparently it tried forcing me to download a newer release which seemed weird. I still tried the trial version, but with another usb device i purchased and already returned. I havent tried it yet with the new Nintendo brand controller i exchanged out yet that at least works now, compared to the Nyko one that didn't do anything but flash the lights. But anyway, at least i have a working USB device on the way for only $1.99 that works for sure. So if i still have issues, i can narrow it down to Dolphin and Win7 64bit related.
Hi,
same on my side! So I took an older Wiimote_plugin.dll from svn 4970 and replaced the one in the newest svn with the old one and guess working again!!! So it seems to be some codechange in the Plugin!?!
Funny is that loading a saved stat from an older SVN where the wiimote worked lets the wiimote plugin (the original one from the newest svn, not the replaced old) work too!!?! Strange! that seems as if something is missing that initiates the wiimote starting a fresh game on newest versions!?
Hope that helps Resolving that!
Regards ARE2
Hmmm, i will have to mess around with that idea. And thanks a bunch for letting me know about this. Might be on to something. It's worth a shot to see if it does the same for me. Might help fix something in a future version if it's something in the code actually causing this certain setup and situation. Big thanks!!!
Edit- Yes, that definitely fixed it. I grabbed version svn 4789 (just to test older version theory), and my WiiRemote is working great now. Using the newer/newest versions, it's not. So your right, something in the plugin code or Dolphin code broke something. I will fill out a problem tracker and document this so this can be fixed in a future version. So, apparently my bluetooth device is working just fine after all. MAN, i am glad you pointed this out. We are on to something here, now that this problem has been confirmed, and to some extent know what is broken and I can track down which version it broke in. (have lot's of practice in this area myself.)
