mamario is a nice guy, he's not an egoistic asshole or something. He just wants to give people an easy-to-use reference, that's all.
I did refuse his offer to become moderator in his forum because I don't like the place/community being split even more (I never even understood why there are also Dolphin threads in other emulation forums).
His Wiki, however, I like because there's nothing like that, yet, right? And I guess no one is arguing about his automated builds being great...
I wonder, can that Dolphin Emulator Wiki idea be duplicated on the official site? I'd sure help to populate it. I have nothing against dolphin-emu.org's creator(s) but I think it's illogical to maintain this kind of service on an unpredictable fansite.
well, the other forum should be removed...the wiki (and the site around it) could stay the way it is (why do all that work again?); there should just be a nice shiny link to it here in the forum and on the official Dolphin Website...

For one reason, as I said earlier, if it's just a single fan's website, it can go down any minute. I don't know about other people, but I certainly don't want to spend hours of my time improving something that unpredictable.

Next, that wiki doesn't seem to be clear about its licensing. Things like that should be unambiguous. If it's truly open source, the articles can simply be copied. If it's not, well, it would be about the biggest single reason to recreate the wiki here and make it fully open. Remember, the wiki was only created two months ago. With Wikipedia's help, most of its basic content can be reproduced in less than a week.

Also, until I saw this thread I was convinced the entire thing was official. It's not like I don't appreciate Mamario's work, but if he's really dedicated to the project, perhaps he should think about joining the efforts instead of creating confusion and partially splitting the community up with two different forums and such. Is this something you'd be interested in and have anyone approached Mamario about the subject?
well, he's here in the forum...I guess he even reads this thread.
To be honest when I wrote with him the last time I had the feeling he wanted to close the other forum, so I'm a bit surprised he hasn't done that, yet...
Other than that it's the people owning this forum and the Dolphin project who should be talking to him...but I think there has already been some talk between them...dunno about the outcome...
its good site, but i dont know why he has created new forum there Huh Huh that is no sense when already biggest dolphin forum: is here..
