I would usually jump at the chance! But Work/School are taking up most of my free time nowadays... Smile

It's not like you have to meet a deadline or something, or that you have to make some new icons. No need to rush anything or apologize for lack of time.
Dolphin is open source and driven by the efforts of people who want to contribute.

Besides, we have bigger problems than icons ;)

Haha, Yes I know...
But I was merely expressing that if I were to try to make an icon set in my current free time, it wouldn't be able to meet the standards for an amazing program like Dolphin. Rolleyes

I may end up doing a little here and there eventually if I can!
I hope you don't mind, I used the .psd file you provided and modified it a little into an icon I liked. So I thought I'd share it with everyone.

Now I'm curious I know how to change the icon for the Shortcut, but I haven't been able to find a way to change it for the actual .exe file and from what I believe it's not something we can do is that correct? If anyone knows.
Wouldn't the shroom kind of be a violation of copyright laws, anyways it should blue and white and maybe use the same Wii art style.

Instead of just a new background style, I think that Dolphin is in need of a new icon altogether- Kind of like the one FlukeSG2 Made.

-As far as copyright infringement goes-
I don't know for sure, but since Dolphin is a free and open source program, don't we have the right to use any icon we want?..... Since it's free and all...
Hmm, it depends on how their artwork can be used.

Fluke I loved your icon so much that I was frequently looking at that only .The icon really looks good and cool too.I think all will be attracted by this as according to me it is quite attractive.
Here's something else to consider-
Should we keep the blueish background of the icon, and just replace the image?
Or should we go for an entirely different color scheme?

Below, I have attached two more images with the blue background used from before, and then an orange/yellow background.

I think the reason that the original icon didn't have all that much detail was so the icon didn't look exactly like a Nintendo character. Using a Nintendo-related image or character is probably not a good idea for obvious reasons. I think the star would work if you removed the eyes since those eyes are what really makes it Nintendo-related. That's just my opinion.

For Windows replace Installer/Dolphin.ico, for OSX replace Source/Core/DolphinWX/resources/Dolphin.icns (or just replace it inside Dolphin.app/Contents/Resources) to see it in action.
