Could it be made an option that can be simply turned off for games with single player support?
I don't think so , but the patch have a checkbox in the wii tab in general configs, or that is not enough ? :O
Yep Im not a hard man to please a simple check box is more than enough for me when the devs get chance to look at it. Im guessing they would prefer to spend their time finding the actual reason they are getting disconnected rather than this cover up patch though?
For now personally all the games I own support multiplayer so its not an issue, If I ever had a game that didnt, I would just use a different build without the patch for that single player game, problem solved for me.
This is one of the most annoying issues and its so easy to "hackfix" - at least as long the real reason for that super annoying disconnect is not fixed.
And that is done by just simply letting it autoreconect, toggleable by a check box, that could be set on off by default.
It's just ridiculous that it's still not added @SVN, a simple check box, jeeez... (in the end i dont care, cuz i compile my own builds anyway).
To me it looks like pure harassment.
Maybe they'll look into it later, they have so many things to do

.

Unless the wiimote gets disconnected while using ( like a no patched version of NSMBW ) it's not an issue
And I don't think that there is a way to make dolphin know if the game is single wiimote or multiwiimote , because the game manages that in the wii ( Or IOS does idk ). And the game will disconnect the wiimote if it doesn't get any input of it
Well, connect the 2nd wiimote then by default if its on @wiiuse, if it gets disconected by the game immediately (set a small timeout, if gets reconnected within 2-3 seconds) u know the game doesn't support it, and u dont trigger the autoreconnect for the 2nd wiimote, et voila.
Thats a suitable work around.
According to my view the auto reconnect is the only issue I have left, I have everything else working perfect with my dolphin.Going to try this x64 5178 build when I get home tonight.Hopefully it will continue running all my games great, let me connect 2 remotes and not need me to click ok to reconnect a few times. If it does that Im a very happy boy and after weeks of trying I have finally got dolphin working the way I want it.
Just need to rewrite/improve the patch then I'll commit it to svn.

and correct the typos xD
Commited to svn.
Now just need to make it a per wiimote option rather then the first one counting for them all.
