Yes, I did.
Then that's odd. 'Cause there doesn't seem to be any fps difference between 5xxx builds and rc1. Can't say there is even a single fps change, because all games stay at 60 fps (or 30 if it's natural for that game)
Hey señor Ocean. I think that is because your computer eat dual core processors for breakfast. Smile
No, I misread, it's not on auto, it was on off.
If somebody has fps problem try this performance setting.

I had also the same problem like [SS] Starscream, all of my wii games were much more slover on the rc1 build, but yesterday I found this configuration setting and I tried. And in the result my wii games are fast.

Blech Versus Crusade with the original setting : 23 fps
with the new setting : 53 fps
I use those settings. The only setting I saw there that I didn't test with was "render to main window" but that shouldn't help fps anyway.

I'm going to post some more using a different game.
I've been watching the emulation scene for a long time now. Usually the life cycle of an emulator goes something like this:

1. Nothing works.
2. Intro or menu on a few games.
3. Get in game for a few games, things are broken, everything is slow.
4. More games, some playable, most things are slow.
5. Games get a little faster, speed tweaks improve speed at the cost of compatibility.
6. More things are fixed, more games are playable, speed goes down because the emulator is working harder.
7. Improvements in speed or compatibility, sometimes both.
8. A new generation of PC hardware makes speed irrelevant, most games are 100% speed. Developers focus mostly on compatibility.
9. Graphical enhancements -- high res textures and/or 2D filters -- take advantage of increased computer power. Developers chase down the last 5% of errors and game incompatibility.
10. Emulator is almost perfect for all games and has graphical options to make games look much better than on the original consoles. Additional options allow cheats, movie recording, multiplayer, and other features not available on the original console.

Dolphin is around stages 6-8 right now. Developers are adding more compatibility which will often reduce speed, although there may be some revisions that make a big jump in both. Also, newer computers (and 64 bit operating systems) are starting to make speed issues irrelevant.
With this game the results are much closer than previous tests, but R4869 is still a bit faster at times.

CaptainDingo

I'm guessing I have a similar issue to what's being described here.

The issue at hand isn't the FPS, but rather the speed. I'm using RC1 right now and Punch Out runs at about 30% speed everywhere but the main menu. It's utterly unplayable.

Does anyone know where I can get these older, faster revisions so I can try them out? I'm getting tired of beating my head against this brick wall. :p I've probably downloaded like 6 newer revisions over the past few days and they all run Punch Out slow as molasses.

Post computer spec so we can suggest the best configuration.
