I finally bought a new computer

1.5GB ram
nVidia nForce 405 Chipset/GeForce 6100 nforce video card
Windows Vista Home Premium 64- bit OS
dolphin works great now.runs at full speed.
i appreciate the time ppl spent helping me out.
this cpu supports sse 1, 2, and 3
i did manage to get dolphin to run at a playable speed on the other computer, but i gave my old computer to my mom, she needed one. well, folks, unless there are anymore questions, it should be fine to close this thread.

what game are you playing full speed with that?
and can you play pcsx2 well with that pc?
cuz i have similar specs and....

it was Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters.
try using the zerogs plugin, no audio plugin, and running games from the dvd is better than running binary images or iso's use the eesync hacks (2x) if you are talking about dolphin, i play super smash brothers melee at full speed
