Sorry for asking this but think this is the best place to ask.
Yesterday bought Starwars rogue squadron 2 and now thinking of buying an old gamecube or new Wii with classic controller for old games .So question is does it work on wii and do I have to buy memory card to save progress in game.
I checked all posts in this tread which I daily open to see if there is something new but my english is not so good to fully understand is this game compatible with new nintendo wii and dont want to spend 300 dollars just to realise that game wont work.
So please if somebody can answere me.
Thanks
Well, actually, this has nothing to do with Dolphin... anyway, i'll help you.

Yes, the Wii can play GameCube games, but only the older Wii (sideway Wii's cannot play GC games). A memory card is needed
With a real Wii or with Dolphin? With a Wii : No problem the game works. With Dolphin the game is broken : It does not work (Graphical issue)

Thanks on quick reply
So only one thing and I will never bother you with this please
About what older Wii you are talking. In Croatia (Europe) there is
only model
NINTENDO Wii Family Edition Pack
and same console with other packages but devices only difers in colour black and white.

Thans agian and hopefully smart people who works on emulator will
find way to resolve problem with this game .
In 90 s people said that is impossible to create emulator for c64 and Amiga but it happened real soon after that.I firmly belive that history will repeat in case wiht Dolphin
Quote:NINTENDO Wii Family Edition Pack

This Wii is not able to play GC games.

Hey whats up? Great job making this game run, any chance this graphic issue is going to be fixed any time soon?
I'd venture a guess that this was asked 20 or 30 times already in this thread, the answer was always the same. There is no time table. If someone decides to work on it, then it will eventually work. If no one does, then it won't. It's completely up to the person who decides that he will or will not work on it. No one will ever know if someone woke up this morning and decided to work on this until they mention it. No one has.

Ok thanks, I'm studying computer engineering (well, I don't know how it is called in english, that university degree where you learn software development) but I'm pretty lame at programming right now.
If I finnish the carreer some day, I'll get into Dolphin and see if I can help with the project. I promise.
