I'm getting 0-1 FPS increase with the new speed hack.
12 fps before vs. 12-13 fps now, on Intel Q6600@3 GHz, Win7 x64, Radeon 4870

Should I be seeing a bigger increase in FPS (thus meaning I'm missing something else in my config) or is the gain actually in this range?

Great work either way, skid.
The speed hack raises minimum fps rather than increases maximum fps. It speeds up the parts of the game where the MMU is the bottleneck. Usually these are the parts where the game is running less than 10fps.
It seems like when this sort of issue is fixed that most of the remaining GC games that are broken will be able to benefit from this fix aswell, seeing how most of the remaining games that are not working seem to be suffering from similar problems.
I just tried rogue leader on r6244 but it just flashes a black screen and the emulator quits, can anyone tell me the exact settings that will make the game boot?
Switch to the OpenGL video plug-in.

Right click the game and click properties. Tick:

Enable MMU
Enable BAT
Enable XFB
What is the problem with Rogue Squadron 3 compared to this one? I would imagine the timing is off a bit as with this game but more-so so the game does not do anything at all.

Also, BAT is not needed afaik with RS2.

doesn't seem to work, same quick black window and then the emulator just closes. any ideas?
ah yeh, there is a bug in the current SVN. Since nobody has fixed it yet, I'll give it a shot and commit it soon.

edit: committed as r6246.
ok here's my testing of rogue leader & rebel strike.
nice work getting RS II to go in game, maybe one day it'll be playable Big Grin

The last screen for RS II was when I tried loading the first mission, it froze after my ship left the hanger.

I could of taken more screens of RS II but it just gave me an endless loop of errors.

I also tried RS III but it just gave me one error before a blank screen.

Why bothering? The game isn't really playable atm Wink (uber slow, major gfx bugs etc.)
