drivers 190.89 are still better for me

Running dolphin right now 88ºC GPU , 63ºC CPU
and updating directx to february of 2010 will boost the fps or may only increase the compatibility with the plugins
"We are aware that some customers have reported fan speed issues with the latest 196.75 WHQL drivers on NVIDIA.com. Until we can verify and root cause this issue, we recommend that customers do not download this driver. Instead, please stay with, or return to 196.21 WHQL drivers. Release 196.75 drivers have been temporarily removed from our website and we also are asking our partners and others to remove temporarily this 196.75 WHQL driver as well." - Nvidia

Another good reason to never trust auto fan controls. I personally have always used rivatuner with manual set control scheme.
Oh my ...Nvidia 9800GT was burned because of this driver ? Now I'm using 7300Gt wait 9800GT until it's fixed
Using 193 series drivers, gtx280 never goes above 73c with dolphin, and that's with the most graphically intensive games at 16xAS and 9xantialias, on 1080p res. I don't see the point to upgrade to 196.75 or above before they have been optimized (which will be a good few months).
