I wonder if anyone tried it out?

I wonder if it would be possible to play some game using lower settings at 720x480 rez?

160GB 5400RPM SATA
Graphics Integrated NVIDIA ION Graphics

I'm thinking about getting one as HTPC box in my livingroom; and to be able to use Dolphin would be a big bonus Big Grin
just one word, "Atom". You can't play anything with a Atom proccessor ( it is a netbook, right ?)

It is actually a nettop...

3610 quick review

Do you mean you "can" or you "can't" play anything? Wink It is only clocked at 1.6Ghz...
Sorry , I mean "can't" Tongue
@ Caveman: Well, at least your living up to your nickname, trying to run Dolphin on that machine Tongue

Seriously though, you can totally forget about any wii game running smoothly on your nettop. I would say a late revision Core 2 Duo or AMD equivalent is the least you need.

:O Did you really OC a E2160 to 3.0 Ghz ?!?!?

Yes, with Scythe Ninja HSF, I used it at 3.2Ghz (but I was getting sporadic BSOD). Lots of people would oc this CPU to 3.4Ghz with the proper air cooling Wink... My in-laws system with stock HSF is running at stable 2.8Ghz.
Performance wise & in benchmarks Intel atom is even worse than some Pentium 4's from 2005. It would not be a good idea to use it for gaming. Because results will be disappointing.
an atom with 1,6ghz is worse than a tualatin celeron with 1,4ghz!
only if the program you use uses more than 1 core... then MAYBE the atom is A BIT faster... but really only A BIT! ^^
(because of HT)

you cant even watch videos on youtube with that CPU without problems!
(unless you have an ION)
