Only users of nvidia, need this hack.Sad
For users of nvidia, I recommend using DX11 or DX9 with the hack (This breaks the game menu (not the main menu).
For users of AMD (ATI), I recommend using the DX9 without the hack.
And both need,Accurate texture cache fast (Safe texture cache in older revs)Wink

I opened a new issue on the Google page: http://code.google.com/p/dolphin-emu/issues/detail?id=3897#c2

Someone using an ATI reports having the black screen issue. I think there's more to this. Feel free to comment over there with your observations! Every little bit helps!
I have an Ati (hd4850) and if I don't enable ZTP bloom hack I don't see anything in the main menu...
Played it for like 10-15 minutes so far and I encountered few problems:
1.Problem with inventory, all items are invisible.
2.When I read a book, video starts and there is no sound at all.

Beside these two problems game runs at full speed with no graphical bugs (sometimes screen goes green but thats not such a big problem).I'm using SVN R7270.
My system specs:

Windows 7 x86 Service Pack 1
Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 2.80GHz
ATI HD4830 512MB
4GB of RAM

If you know how to fix this please tell me.What are the best settings for this game?

Edit: I managed to fix the first problem somehow Smile

I know this is one major thread bump but i would think its better to update this rather than start a new thread.

By changing the audio backend to XAudio2 i was able to fix all of the audio problems. Using the JIT compiler is a little slow sometimes (C2D 2.2ghz) so i use the experimental one that gives me perfect FPS.

The only problems with the entire game are...

1. When cutseens are supposed to fade from black, they fade from green. Small issue.

2. IN DX9, the backroud of the UI is not visible. In DX 11 it is but the items are not.

That is the only problem. Now both are small problems and guess what i have narrowed it down to what the culprits may be.

Emulate format changes will cause the game visuals to freeze when enabled. So load up into the main menu without it, then enable it. The setting wont enable until the game re-renders everything (i.e loading screen) then your character will be frozen. you can still move and here him / her move but the frames do not update.

now go into the advanced settings and enable virtual XFB. You character will still be frozen but when you press start you get a quick glimpse of the start menu. All icons are visible!!!!!

so figure out why "emulate format changes" freezes the frame and maybe a problem with XFB and the game is 100% except the green fade issue which i bet could be fixed just as well.

I was using XFB in virtual mode, i assume real can only be used on 64 bit machines? since the GC CPU is 64 bit? maybe that makes a difference.

anyways all of this was done in DX11 mode with a Radeon HD 4670 1GB. and a C2D E4500 2.2ghz

in DX 11 I managed to show the items turning on the "custom projection hack", using the preset of Metroid: Other M or Zelda Twilight Bloom Hack.
(sometimes the items don't show up, so I change between these two presets)

I always use emulate format changes with this game. When the game freezes after loading, I just press ALT+ENTER to switch between windows and full screen, and the game works.

I leave this off.

got 57 - 60 fps in game with an Athlon 64 X2 5200+ (2,7GHz) and a radeon HD 5770.

sorry for any error, I'm not a native speaker.

right click the game in dolphin and choose properties, now turn on the projection hack.
