Yes, it should auto reconnect. I find the constant reconnect popups annoying to be blunt. As for fearing battery consumption.. After finishing emulation, to conserve the batteries you should always open Wiimote battery lid and press red reset button so that bluetooth stack stops reading it's status. That certainly solves the battery draining problem.

Or, just disconnect BT dongle from the computer, or take out battery pack and put it back in.

(I didn't know this earlier, and just after 3 hours of the wiimote standing idle, started dolphin again, and it was down from 4 battery bars to 1 red)

It's certainly no urban myth; Bluetooth still communicates with wiimote as if you were using it like normal... Even after you shut down dolphin. No big deal if you have rechargeable batteries but still a nuisance
Ehm... my topic was concerning virtual wiimote Wink If its useful for saving battery on real one, fine but for using mouse as virtual mote code should either completely bypass energy mode(if possible) or auto-reconnect. It won't hurt to have option for auto-reconnect at least..
You are right, I thought this was about real wiimote as some people mentioned battery usage.

With emulated wiimote, IMO, there should not even be autodisconnection. It seems pretty pointless, seeing as it's primary function should be conserving batteries.. It should just force it to be connected all the time
