Dolphin, the GameCube and Wii emulator - Forums

That's looks pretty nice, but what about multitasking? Rarely have I used a pc just for one single thing at a time. It looks like it would take effort to switch out of that.

Media center has its own problems. it does use up a little cpu usage although i havent really seen a hit with dolphin performance. It launches the emulator in a new window and minimizes itself. The emulators need to be preconfigured for best results. I dont use it too much on my computer, im mostly just setting up the database and adding all the pictures and descriptions so that when i build an htpc it will be ready to go. all i would need to do is use my remote for windows media center start the emulator and game through it and pick up my game controller and be good to go. The current htpc is in a separate room from the projector and couch, (but its too slow for dolphin), hence the need to keep everything wireless as much as possible.
