MS Stack: It only takes me 3 seconds within dolphin to pair up 1 wiimote, and 5-6 seconds to pair up 2 at the same time in 1 flush! (If u dont disable the windows update service, the pairing will take twice as long)
u dont have to pair them up again after you close dolphin, except u restart the computer or u take out the batteries or the device looses its pairing accidentally.
That's the way i roll..

Four months later, I'm having the same issues. I scour the internet and this forum looking for solutions but all I found that's relevant is this thread. Was there ever a fix? Did anyone ever get this issue solved?

The issue I'm having is this:

After my computer is restarted, I cannot get the wiimotes to work without going into my bluetooth devices and removing the existing devices, then opening Dolphin and pairing up once more.

To elaborate, assume all other settings are correct

1) After restarting the computer the wiimotes are still listed in my bluetooth devices.
2) I open Dolphin and click the Wiimote config button.
3) I click "Pair Up Real Wiimotes"
4) I watch as Windows attempts to re-install the existing driver (it does not remove or attempt to remove the existing device) with no success.
5) The pairing has failed and I must manually remove the existing wiimotes from my bluetooth devices for Dolphin to correctly pair with the wiimotes.

According to users in this thread, using BlueSoleil or MS stack makes no difference in this matter. I find it hard to believe everyone is so excited about this project and how the games work and how you can use your real wiimotes but have found no way around this minor inconvenience. And if someone has, why the heck isn't it written in this thead where eight people have reported this issue (and how many haven't even mentioned it?)

Thanks!

...

Maybe the devs could set up a form for more info and machine specs to help figure out why its not working for some people.

I've got exactly the same problem like fraggermcg. My Wiimote rumbles when i go to the wiimote plugin. so it seems to be paired. I choose real wiimote as input source. One led is illuminated after i close the plugin. But when i start a game it doesnt recognise any button and in the bottom right of the main screen is the message "connecting..."
I've tried to pause the game and disconnected and connected the wiimote in the tools-menu, but this dont seems to make any difference.
the weird thing is yesterday everything worked well. but since ive installed the bluesoleil bluetooth software ive got those problems... i allready deinstalled it. but the problem is still there Sad

here my specs:
Windows 7 Professional x64
AMD Phenom 9850 @ 2.9GHz
3Gb Ram
Asus M2N32SLI Deluxe
Dolphin SVN R 5037
bluetooth stick that comes with the Logitech Cordless Desktop MX 5000 Laser - But it uses MS Bluetooth stack i think

all the older builds of dolphin got the same problem. but they allready worked well.
it would be great if anybody can help to solve this problem.

Ive managed to get my wiimote working again Smile
I just got the batteries out of the wiimote for several minutes and after that everything worked again...
maybe this can help anybody else...

set 1st gamecube controller to nothing, should work then...

actually the wiimote works very good for me, after start dolphin, goto wiimote plugin, it auto(re)connects and im set for gaming...

only problem that comes up is WM+ , sometimes game sais its not connected, mostly befor the wiimote drops and reconnects... im not sure if its because of knockoff version or software mistake....

so sometimes i need to delete the driver and readd it (which only takes 1min) but after thats its working like charm
last night I was poking around randomly in dolphin and it worked. then dolphin crashed and I couldnt get it to work again. figures. I must've hit the magic sequence but since it was the zillionth time I'd tried I paid no attention.
console is showing a constant stream of packet ignored warnings too.
Finally got it working using a slightly older version of bluesoleil. 6.4.249. The 6.2 that came with my bluetooth and whatever the newest one is would neither work.
Hello everybody!

This is my first post, I just had to register since I think I'm going insane.
I ordered wiimote from dealextreme, so it's not nintendo branded, also I ordered bluetooth dongle. Here are the SKUs: 11866 and 56395.
Well I got my products couple days ago, but I'm facing same problems than some users in this topic.

First I started with ms bluetooth stac, I could see the bluetooth icon there in taskbar every now and then. When I did not see it, I just checked device manager and it said: generic bluetooth radio with yellow warning sign.
When I finally got it working, I succesfully paired wiimote with the pc. Then I opened dolphin and paired there, it starts installing HID Driver.... FAILED. Okey sure, I'll try again... Failed.. Again and again and bang it worked! I succesfully paired my wiimote with dolphin. It rumbled and one light was on so I knew it was there. Anyway I tried it on game and it did not response any buttons. In that point I thought that I'll just try and install bluesoleil so I hopefully don't have to fight over an hour every time I try to play. Big Grin

I installed bluesoleil, it finds my bluetooth device nicely, and I can pair my wiimote with HID device in bluesoleil.
Then I go to dolphin, hold 1 and 2 and hit pair, well it says that it only works with microsoft bluetooth stack(?) Wiimote flashes all the lights and nothing. I tried doing this maaany times!
Conclusion: How on earth other people get it to work with bluesoleil? Is there something I miss? I'm starting to be really desperate.

EDIT: Oh forgot to mention, when I use bluesoleil and connect to HID, in dolphin it says "Connected to 1 wiimote" and yeah I have selected Real Wiimote. Rumble button does nothing, and no lights are on.
Also when I connect to HID with bluesoleil, it disconnects after some seconds, and wiimote won't to respond almost anything. You need to hold home button for around 5 seconds and it starts blinking all the lights again.. ARGH!!

Any help and suggestions would be more than helpful! Oh and I'm using Vista x64!

Sorry doublepost, just wanted somebody to actually see this and at least try to help!
Well yesterday I succesfully paired my wiimote with ms bluetooth stack, it was a pain in the ass again, but it worked. Today I have tried around 3 hours with no success.
I installed Toshiba bluetooth stack which succesfully finds my wiimotion and installs HID. When I connect to HID, it stays connected only few seconds.
When connecting with bluesoleil or toshiba to HID, it flashes all the lights, and when connected all the lights from my wiimote turns off, and few secs later HID connection disappears?

PLEASE somebody help, I'm really desperate!
I only managed connection with ms bluetooth stack, but I think around 8hours to set up for playing a little while is WAAAAY over. Sad
What I usually do is open the wiimote menu, hit the 1+2 buttons on my wiimote so the blue lights start flashing, hit "pair up" in the wiimote menu, windows installs the HID bluetooth device, the controller rumbles, and it's off and running.
