Ok tried this and got a weird error. After the quest load screen I find myself above the town in bird view and can't do anything. Had to reset the game, happened twice.
Tried using the 3.0 version instead of the latest as well but no difference

Actually, I just saw that Dolphin supports both encrypted and decrypted codes. So it doesn't matter which one you put in.
What is your GAMEID?
I got it to work somehow now. I found a website where it says use Gcncrypt to encrypt those codes so I used it on the code I wanted and somehow it worked after loading my save. Its weird cause I entered the decrypted code for v1.1 in gcncrypt and encrypted it > copied the encrypted in dolphin > saved > went to edit and it showed me the decrypted code for v1.0. Im a little confused because all the codes I used until now are for v1.1 and now the 1.0 is working...
GameID is GPOE8P btw

Yeah, I was using GCNCrypt before. But you shouldn't need to use it because Dolphin automatically does the encrypting for you.
I've never looked the version up cuz after all the v1.1 codes worked I thought it was v1.1 obviously... well mystery solved

Nope it just worked. After loading with the code it still showed the symbol for my old ID but the written out name was changed to the new ID. Had to save and reload without the code active for the ID symbol to change to the new ID as well.
I still wonder how all the 1.1 codes work though...

Have you tried comparing the encrypted code Dolphin spits back out to the v1.0 and v1.1 codes?
