Quote:hey, guys, i have the problem that the game freezes after the start of a race. can play a few seconds and then it crashes.
opengl plugin, have tried many configurations.

the strange is, that sometimes i can play a many practice rounds and 2 races of the first gp without crash o.O

edit: with the dx9 plugin i can play longer but it crashes randomly too.

the svn is 5110

system:
amd phenom 2 X4 955
8800gts
4gb ram

any ideas?
Hmmm... I did miss F-Zero GX but sence I let people borrow my wii *hardly play it* gonna have get my GX back and rip my disk to try it o.o!
How do I load this game? it crashes at the moment it requests data from memory card. I use the PAL version selecting 60 Hz.
Switch to JitIL experimental recompiler

ups, thank you.
It runs slow 10-20 fps on core 2 duo 2.53Ghz (1066 FSB, 6Mb L2) DX9, its a laptop none the less.
I got 18-26FPS, near halfspeed lol
Just to see if anyone's still working on this game. Tongue

I did get some extra information playing the PAL version.
The heat-effect on Sand Ocean (Ruby Cup track 3) is the culprit for the slowdown (might be the same problem Super Mario Sunshine is having, have to try that out later today): switching off CPU -> EFB does indeed fix the speed problem as the emulator then fails to render the heat-effect. Generally, with CPU -> EFC on I get 40-50 FPS, with CPU -> EFB switched off it firmly stays at 60 FPS. Yay for full speed F-Zero GX!
Also, the game tends to blur with CPU -> EFB on. I'll try to make some screenshots.
Another thing I discovered is that the Grand Prix mode will crash at random when EFB to RAM is switched on, and EFB to RAM only partially fixes shadows (when you switch to cockpit view for a lap and then back, the shadow is broken once again), so I'd advise running only on EFB to Texture till the issue has been sorted out.
Some observations from r5449:
Can't seem to create & register an original vehicle inside the Customize Menu. It crashes instantly.
Tried JITIL already and JIT as well. This must be one of those annoying bugs that hasn't been fixed yet. D:
The game sometimes hangs as well during races.
It also almost always hangs when recording a race and lots of stuff is going on.
It's been hanging a lot with a recent rev (5451). i don't remember this happening as much with slightly older ones. might just be me.

Are you able to create vehicles in the Customize menu with r5451? Mine just crashes when I attempt to create one.
