Using D3D9 and no Alien plugin. (what is that?)

It does really run fine, but crashes which makes it unplayable for any length of time.
which version did you use?
I've used r7436 and r7442. These were / are the latest revisions.

try older versions 'cause the last ones are usually slower & co (on my own stuff Big Grin)
Need a bit of help for this again.
What settings do you use for optimal performance? Including stability.

Thanks in advance.

Unless something changes this game for now needs to run to single core for best stability, check efb to texture in game for performance but you will have problematic shadows.
I have used r7476 x64 to play f-zero gx, the story mode chapter 3:High Stakes in Mute City race often crash, can't play, hope some one solve this peoblem

Hello,

first of all a big thanks to all dolphin contributors who allow us to remember those amazing gamecube/wii games !

Well, I'm here to report an issue... F-Zero GX is actually not running at all on the x64 version of dolphin emu (latest revision 7553), unless the dual core option is disabled, which slows down the game.
I read all the pages of this current topic and decided to search for a revision that could run it. And, as I was seeking, I spent some time searching for the revision who broke the compatibility.
And I found that F-Zero GX stopped running after the 6837 revision (it's working fine on 6836).

The change log :

Quote:Quick fifo commit:

* Change the process ProcessAllDistace to ClearRegister
* Fix a bug in ProcessFifoEvents() in commandProcessro (thanks Skid)
-- The last 2 items should be improve the speed lost in r6572 and maybe improve a little bit because ProcessFifoEvents() is right. (Test car selection in GxZero)
* Alliviate Fifo desyncs, In the meant time I still Researching for real solution. (This fix RE0 again and maybe others
"FIFOs linked but out of sync" and "GFX FIFO: Unknown Opcode (0x%x).
" games suffers these for desync.)

It appears that something changed for F-Zero GX and is certainly the source of the problem.

If a developper is seing this message, * please* could you do something to fix that as latest revisions appear to be faster ?
F-Zero GX is one of my favourite games, so it would be very nice Smile

Thank you very much once again !

ps : btw, I don't know if that helps, but here are my specs : windows 7 x64, phenom II x4 3ghz, ATI radeon 4870.

Dual core works on DX9 fine for me on latest revs, you just have to restart it a couple times maybe.
