DX9 F-Zero GX is about 5 FPS faster for me but then again with this game im not sure what's going with it's FPS display. It runs at full speed i confirmed that by running it side by side with the actual game on my Wii yet Dolphin only shows it running at 30FPS (I know that F-Zero GX runs at 60FPS). DX9 F-Zero GX is also smoother that the DX11 F-Zero which tends to get jittery at the start of races or when multiple racers are taken out.
Thanks for the replies. Very interesting pieces of info.
I am hoping that with this new trend of people compiling special game specific fixes/patches into the latest revisions of Dolphin, someone will come out one designed to boost the games speed, particularly in tracks such as Sand Ocean and Big Blue.
Hopefully this FIFA things that Damdai is talking about gives us a
COLOSSAL speed boost!

Hi guys. Happy New Year!!
Hey have any of you had any luck with any of the newer builds from Lectrode, Xenofears, etc? I tried the latest from Xenofears and it was slower than the svn I currently use, which is Dolphin-x64-r6553_Mamario Build.
Let us know please, if you gain any extra fps or speed from the newer builds. Thanks!
First i must say Thank you for making a great Emulator an let me play my Gamecube Games on nice Grafik.
Second i must say
Forgive my English, I'm German.
I have one Problem with my F-Zero Game:
-F-ZERO GX (PAL Version)
-EUROPA
The sound stutters so I'm afraid it might harm my PC.
I have not changed the basic settings of the game and my configuration is like Dolphin in the Performance Guide.
My System and Dolphin:
Dolphin: SVN r6778
Game: X-Men Next Dimension
PC specs: Intel Core 2 CPU; 6300 1.86GHz; 3,00 Gigabite Ram; XP MCE 2002 Service Pack 3; ATI Radeon HD 4600 Series PCIe 2.0 1024MB; Sound Onboard: DX 9.0c
This game used to run at full speed (60 fps) except on a couple tracks. I just updated to the latest revision and now it runs really slow. dips to 20 fps when selecting a vehicle and runs awful in game... I dont remember what my old revision was, think it was like in the R4000's lol. Yeah its been awhile. My system is as follows,
AMD Phenom II X2 555 @ 3.960
4gb ddr2 6400 @ 880mhz
ATI HD 4830 512mb
Windows 7 64
Same as it was on the older revision...
Default settings but i have tried to change just about every setting with no luck...
VaeliusNoctu: lol, keine Panik...Dolphin cannot harm your PC; only maybe if your CPU cooling is very bad and your CPU gets too hot, but in that case you would have already gotten some bluescreens.
However, F-Zero is running very badly on recent revisions...use a build from the archive, from, like, 200 revs before...it should be much faster (only the title screen is also very stuttery there, but the races are fine)
Jester: Same to you...use an older build. The FIFO changes made F-Zero suffer quite a bit...we'll see if in the near future that can be optimized again.

are you sure it's because of the FIFO changes?
uhm...relatively sure...why are you asking?
@StripTheSoul
Thanks, can you give me a Version Number?^^
