Hold up. If this was a reason he was banned then WTF. Even I knew it was a joke though I did state in the second post he should make this so it would not imply it was real. I mean he posted it in damn delfino plaza. Hope you all really keep things in context. If he was banned because of this then this is just wrong. Isn't this the forum for BS stuff like this?

Since it was changed he was making a joke that there was a site where you could download more ram for your computer (NOT buy sticks of ram but actually have it mysteriously bought virtually online and just appear on your computer). The site was fake with stuff as phonenumbers of 123-123-4567 LOL. The site was a joke or atleast I took it as a joke. Now if that site indeed was a scam then good riddance but everyone seems to have misjudged his intentions on this. I thought it was a joke from the get go.

Maybe because his post had a link that actually took you to a site where it seemed like a scam was the issue but I think many members quick fired and became hostile to something that seemed like a joke. Based on his post I could blandly see him violating the "1. Providing Links to any warez sites, or any site providing illegal material." but only if the site was a real scam.

Onto the new account. Ok yes that was wrong but then again if you were just randomly banned and had no way to express the fact that you were wronged then what would you do? In this instance, he making another account is not a issue just to state to people he was trying to joke. I don't know. Maybe he does deserve to be banned but I think the community might have jumped the gun and went with a "spambot ... ban ban ban" appoach to this whole issue. I have a hard time trying to see a guy whose been part of the board for 3 months just up making a post unless it was for a joke purpose especially when he post it in delfino plaza on something people with any sense would know is fake. Virtual RAM you buy online and just immediately states you have more ram on your computer? Come on folks. Again, if the site was indeed real and a scam then good ban but if not just enjoy a little laugh and enjoy your day as I thought it was intended to be.
