Well first I think I should thanks the pros of revision 4771 for this game, like the mountains no longer look striped, that now you can finnish the Temple of Darkness and there was even a nice speedup too.

But everbody must know that this game largest issues were mostly sound and speed, speed is ok now, except in some heavily crowded towns(Or a snowy town like Flanoir) the game speed is pretty nice, but as we took three steps forward with the other issues there was also a step back with the sound,a rather big one.....The BGMs don't sound at all!You can only hear some scattered notes here and there! It's worse than the first time I played this game in SVN R 3089 about a year ago!

I would ask,if it's possible, that this bug is fixed ASAP.once that's done this game would be 95% perfect.....

Fonzo

thats true. sound is still pretty bad but speed increased a lot for me.

I also have another issue. If i start the game and want to load a save state, the game will crash within seconds after loading. i can only play a pretty short time and then it crashes Undecided It worked well the first time i played it (yesterday), but today i wanted to continue and it failed^^

would be so cool if the can be fixed by someone Wink
yeah, sometime in late November/early December some commit DSP-wise must have broken something. I noticed it in Mario Party 4 back then...and still now there's only a few notes playing which makes the whole thing sound totally crazy *g*
I hope the devs do work on DSP because it's the one thing which makes many otherwise perfectly emulated games unenjoyable :-|
I'm using r4938 and it's like some instruments in the music are playing but others are not. It seems to be fine only for battle music.

Very annoying I gotta say.
Yeah, that's true...I've been fighting agains those issues but apparently nobody cares about taking a look at this game >_<
I guess these people are saying "well the graphics are fine so it's all good..." I would love to be able to fix this issue by myself but unfortunately I don't have enough free time to learn how to use C++.
I never use savestates in any game on Dolphin they are so prone to crash the emu that they can do more damage than they can help......

What bothers me more is that this game, since I began using Dophin abou a year ago,is supposedly ``Perfect´´ on the Emu's state bar,and after seeing that I think ```Boy if this is perfect In don't want to know what's buggy´´.If you ask me saying that this game is ``Perfect´´ is one big fat lie,it was not even fully playable some builds ago.....

Yeah that's what I'm saying. Perfect here means perfect graphics-wise, not perfect-perfect. It's not the fact that the music is buggy, it's the fact that we're led to believe that the game runs perfectly in every way and that we're the only ones having problems...

Frankly there's a lot of work that needs to be done in this forum and in the compatibility list to reflect what's been updated for specific games and what still needs to be fixed.
....A game is made of four basic ingredients:

1-Plot:The game story, how cautivating it is and how it motivates the player to keep playing.

2-Gameplay:How enjoyable is to play the game in this part are the battle system, the movement system, the item system, ect.

3-Graphics:How good the game looks,in this part are the background,the characters(Both heroes and villians),the NPC(Non-Playable Characters)the monsters,etc.

4-Sound:How nice the game sounds,is the one of the game sound is ugly or is too noisy it maight make you stop playing,in this part are,the BGM(Background Music),the SFX(I'm not sure of what it means,it's alll the battle sounds and such....) and the Voices(Of the all characters).

Since all that stuff is what makes a good game,a good emu has to emulate them all,at least at the 95% before calling a game perfect......
But again, it's not the emulator's fault. It's the people who say that a game runs perfectly when it's easy to notice after 5 seconds in the game that it doesn't.
